Director's cut is used to edit explosion "movies"
looking for a good trade-off between memory consumption
and animation fluidity.
After a separate particle-system application creates simulated explosion picures, this editor selects from the many frames a smaller representative sequence which animates reasonably well.
The frame delay is set and the sequence is saved for fast in-game playback.
Written in Tcl/Tk using C for faster I/O.
